Ryde School maths challenge
Ryde Junior School runs a maths challenge day once a year for local primary schools from across the Isle of Wight. Up to 160 of the Island's most able mathematicians spend the day at Ryde taking part in this event.
Aims
To give talented mathematicians on the island a chance to stretch themselves and take part in a fun competition.

This event was set up by the Head of Maths in Ryde Junior School as an outreach programme
Resources
Several teachers in the Junior School help with the organisation of this event for a full day. The Head of maths spends many hours planning the event.
Impact
This event gives able local children a change to stretch themselves and take part in a fun maths competition.
Pupil Involvement
Around 160 children from others school and around 60 children from Ryde.
