Primary School chess club
KGS sixth form students run a lunchtime chess club at one of our local primary schools.
Aims
To teach the primary school children a new skill and to boost their confidence.
We also aim to develop of sixth formers leadership skills.
Impact
The clubs [the students run] have been very successful. We do run an After School Chess club but many keen chess players have not been able to access this due to cost. They are so excited on Wednesdays to have the opportunity to play the game with the help of your students. We have also made sure Pupil Premium children can access this lunchtime club.

Pupil Involvement
15 primary school children access this every week.
Frequency
Weekly from November - June.
