Lunchtime Buddies
KGS Sixth Form students develop and support lunchtime games at different play zones, such as skipping, large Lego, mud kitchen, water works. The emphasis is on inclusion, building friendships and embracing new experiences, encouraging and facilitating involvement.
Impact
The students helping at lunchtime have been amazing! Some have supported the younger ones with our giant lego set, making sure they take turns and learn to share. Some have taught our KS2 children handball. Most of our boys only want to play football but your students have introduced handball and encouraged them to take part. They now look forward to playing this at lunchtime! This has led to far fewer disputes in the playground which usually occurs around football!
