Faraday Challenge with local primary schools

A one-day workshop for Year 6 pupils wherein they take on the role of engineers and designers, working as a team to solve a practical engineering problem. In doing so we hope the pupils will get a taste of the kind of challenge and reward experienced through a career in STEAM, developing their problem solving and team-working skills along the way.

Aims

Access to STEAM learning that their primary school may not have access to.

Working as a part of a team to problem-solve.

Resources

Maths, science and IT teachers were involved as well as a number of our Sixth Form students

30 Year Six pupils from a mixture of the primary schools.
