KGS Year 6 Maths Extension Classes

Fostering an interest in Maths and developing problem-solving skills through puzzles and games. Supporting local Year 6 pupils to prepare for the primary and junior maths challenges.

Aims

The sessions will aim to prepare pupils to take part in the Primary Maths Challenge, the National Primary Bonus Round and then the Junior Maths Challenge, which is usually aimed at pupils in Years 7 and 8.

Resources

Students are from a mixture of local primary schools. They come to KGS every Tuesday after school for a 1 hour session. Pupils are coached by KGS Maths teachers assisted by some of our A Level Maths students.
