Partnership with Spikes Jazz Academy

Musicians given the opportunity to take part in Spikes Jazz academy alongside young musicians from across Essex. All benefit from gaining access to the school's high quality facilities without having to travel outside of the community.

Aims

Spikes Jazz Academy workshops and performances are held at Brentwood School during school holidays and are open to young musicians from across Essex, giving them the opportunity to use the school's facilities and performing spaces.

Pupil Involvement

Courses are open to musicians aged between 11-17 and places can be booked individually or as a band. It is open to all young musicians across Essex.

Frequency

Academy week-long workshops are held during the Easter holidays and October half-term. The course is well established, attracting some of the finest teachers on the UK jazz scene, and has been running for a number of years.
