Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary (MDV) UCAS Application Advice

Free advice to pupils from partner state schools who are wishing to pursue a career in MDV. As part of the MDV preparation, we also run a UKCAT (aptitude tests for medical applications) preparation session and invite the local state school L6th students to attend for free. This session is usually held in June.

Aims

The aim is to prepare pupils for application at university for an MDV place.

Background

A teacher at Brentwood School has a contact at the state school and offered the services or our teachers and pupils.

Resources

Weekly dispensing of our teachers to the state school.

Impact

The Head has commented that pupils have benefitted greatly from the advice.

Pupil Involvement

One of two teachers from the school are involved. With up to five pupils.

Frequency

This occurs weekly for an ongoing period of time.
