Able & Talented Enrichment Days at the Prep School

Open to all local state Primary Schools who apply for the opportunity. These sessions normally involve around 40 pupils drawn from six or seven local maintained sector schools and one other independent school. The activities are predominantly in Maths and English with one Design based day in the Trinity Term.

Aims

The aim is to stretch able and talented pupils and offer challenges to them that they would normally not experience.

Background

Set up by a now retired teacher for the benefit of the local community and now an annual occurrence.

Resources

Our teachers offer their services free of charge in twice a year sessions.

Impact

Each year more and more pupils attend.

Pupil Involvement

We estimate that upwards of 250 local pupils benefit from the use of our facilities and there is no charge from us to those schools taking part.
