'Minimus' Latin club
The head of Latin holds a weekly 'Minimus' after school club for Clifton High School pupils and Year 6 pupils from local primary schools. Minimus is a unique Latin course for younger children designed to teach them the basics of the language and also about Roman myths and culture.
Aims
The aim is to stretch and challenge younger pupils with Latin Language skills and encourage them to make links between Latin, English and Modern Languages and satiate their curious minds with Roman myths and cultural facts. It also hoped that the weekly sessions will help to make the transition between primary and senior school less daunting.
