London Tennis Association (LTA) Secondary School CPD

Alleyn’s PE staff host tennis training CPD session at Alleyn’s Clubhouse for local Southwark Schools.

Background

The partnership was developed through a contact through the LTA.

Resources

The tennis courts at The Edward Alleyn Club were used for the teaching session. Six Alleyn’s PE staff took part in the training session which took place over three hours.

Impact

Through the programme, Alleyn’s School hopes to improve the teaching and learning of tennis in local Southwark Schools.

Pupil Involvement

Pupils in years 7-10 were involved in the session.

Frequency

This is an ongoing partnership for Alleyn’s. The PE department are looking forward to host a second CPD training day in the upcoming Summer term.
