Junior Science Day

At the end of National Science Week we hosted our very own Junior Science day. We invited a number of primary schools to come in to school to take part in five workshops throughout the day. These included Animal Encounters, Space Dome, Rainbow Fizz, the Science of magic and Marble mazes.

Aims

The aim of this event was to inspire and enthuse the next generation of scientists. The outside workshop leaders made the sessions engaging and interactive.

Resources

We had four workshop leaders come into school with all their own resources and equipment.

Our sixth form leaders worked with the children throughout the day.

Costs are covered by Tudor Hall School.

Impact

The feedback from the schools was excellent, the schools had a great time and are enthused by the experience that they had.

Pupil Involvement

Pupils involved were year 5, 90 pupils in total attended from 5 schools.

5 sixth form leaders led the sessions.
