Head of STEM Outreach

To provide a leading scientist from Oundle to develop and add expertise to our STEM Partnerships.

Aims

Oundle Science Festival - An annual event, strongly supported by Imperial College London. Day workshops are open to Year 5 and Year 8 pupils from 16 schools and residential workshops are attended by three schools. Touring roadshows and evening events are open to the wider community, reaching an audience of over 3,000.

Ogden Trust Partnership - Funding over five years for Science outreach activities in, and between, a group of 10 local primary schools, including Laxton Junior School, with a hub at Oundle CE Primary.

Monthly Science Speakers - Low cost ticketed events in Oundle’s Great Hall, open to children and their parents.

Physics Teacher Training - GCSE and A Level training, with DfE funding sourced to provide lesson cover for OPEN Learning Partner Schools whilst training.
