Computer Science Teacher Training
The King's Rochester Head of Computer Science Director of Digital Learning has been providing guidance and support to local and South-Eastern schools including;
- giving monthly evening talks to Computer Science trainee teachers at KMT, a local School-based Initial Teacher Training organisation
- providing guidance to local schools on how to run mock exams using the online exam software exam.net
- formulating strategies to improve pupil uptake of GCSE Computer Science.
Aims
To support schools in the South East in Computer Science and IT-related activities.
Background
The Computer Science Teacher training happens when we have a trainee teacher come to the school. They come for a placement, teach some lessons and then progress in their careers with this foundation of skills.
Frequency
This happens primarily on an annual basis, for two months, normally in February and March.
