Y5 and Y6 Mathematics Challenge Day

Teams of girls from Year 5 and Year 6 take some stretching mathematics challenges covering numeracy and shape and space activities. The day is a chance to promote girls excelling in mathematics.

Aims

 To see girls taking the lead in interesting mathematics and to open their minds to new ways of seeing a subject.

 

Pupil Involvement

10 girls from Year 10 at Portsmouth High helping with the session and 48 girls from surrounding primary schools aged 9 and 10.

Annually.
