Women in Stem Webinar series
The Brighton College Robotics Team invite female students in years 10, 11, 12 and 13 at local schools to tune into to our series of exciting webinars entitled ‘Women in STEM’! Each webinar will consist of 1 or 2 guest speakers, who are prominent women in STEM subjects and industries.

The Brighton College Robotics Team invite female students in years 10, 11, 12 and 13 at local schools to tune into to our series of exciting webinars entitled ‘Women in STEM’! Each webinar will consist of 1 or 2 guest speakers, who are prominent women in STEM subjects and industries.
Background
The Brighton College Robitic Society leadership team consists of two Upper 6th pupils. They believe this is an important initiative, as currently only 35% of STEM students in higher education in the UK are women. They set up this series of lectures to inspire female students to choose STEM subjects for A-Level or undergraduate degree and hopefully set them on a path to success in this field.
Resources
The webinars are held via Webinarjam and are open to all female students in years 10, 11, 12 and 13. Access to a device is required to log in to the webinar, and the link issent to all participants ahead of the event. There is no cost for this event for any participating schools.
Impact
Links have been made between key members of staff at each school, we aim to track pupil choices post 16 and higher education as the project is ongoing.
Pupil Involvement
Over 40 different female pupils ages 14-18 have attended seminars this year, from 6 different schools.
