STEM Careers Conference

A STEM Careers Conference to inspire local students interested in STEM subjects about the breadth of careers opportunities available to them.

To inspire students to consider STEM related careers.

Background

Part of the School's Futures programme of events open to local secondary schools.

Resources

The event relies on the expertise and generosity of parents, Old Birkonians and friends of Birkenhead School to give up their time to advise and speak at the Conference.

The Conference is held in Bushell Hall, Birkenhead School, between 5.30pm and 8.00pm, and organised by the School's Futures Team supported by numerous teaching and support staff.

Impact

It is different to measure/track the influence of the conference, apart from a subjective evaluation on the evening of the interest shown in the conference and evaluation after the event.

Pupil Involvement

The Conference is open to all secondary age students in the local area.
