Science Workshop

Bethany School hosted a science workshop for KS2 students from local schools. The session content included dissection and slime making.

Aims

For the children at the local primary school to participate and watch some science experiments.

They could experience this in a fully equipped lab.

Background

Our Head of science spoke with and organised the event with Marden Primary school.

Resources

Use of the Bethany Science Labs.

Teachers and Lab technicians worked hard to prepare and deliver informative and fun sessions.

126 students attended and 10 staff. These sessions were spread out over 2 days with morning and afternoon sessions.

There was no charge for this session.

Impact

Everyone who attended really enjoyed the sessions.

The students got to experience working in science Labs, which most Primary aged children do not have access to.

Pupil Involvement

Key stage 2. Both Boys and Girl attended.

Frequency

This was a one off event but we hope to offer this again soon.
