Primary Schools Sports Series

The Primary Schools Sports Series is a series of sports competitions that run throughout the academic year. The College provides staffing, venues, equipment and transport to Bradfield. Catering and prizes are also provided. 

Aims

The sports events allow 30 different primary schools the opportunity to compete in organised sports competitions such as mixed netball, cross-country and kwik cricket. Bradfield pupils help to facilitate/ lead these activities as well as mini tennis on the indoor and clay courts.

Background

The sports series allows Bradfield pupils to develop leadership and communication skills whilst the primary schools benefit from the use of venues and coaching.

Impact

Our impact assessment is a combination of the total number of pupils participating as well as feedback from sports staff from the attending schools. The number of pupils impacted is approximately 600.

Pupil Involvement

Around 100 Bradfield pupils are used in a variety of roles across the four events either hosting, umpiring, marshaling, coaching or assisting in various ways.
