'Play for Impact' Rugby Festival
Play for Impact is a nationwide campaign led by schools across England to support Pass It Back, delivered by ChildFund Rugby in partnership with rugby Unions around the world.
Wychwood School organised and led a festival of rugby for Yr5 - 8 pupils. 350 took part in this extraordinary day.
Aims
Aside from raising money for this amazing cause, rugby coaching was offered and matches played.
Background
Our Director and Head met the CEO of Child Fund Rugby whilst in Hong Kong.
Resources
This was held at a local rugby club.
Our sports department organised it, but on the day had help from a few more academic and support staff (12 in total)
Pupil Involvement
350 pupils from Yr 6 - 8 took part. Our Year 9 Rugby Ambassadors also took a leadership role
