Oasis Academy Brightstowe Reading Project

Sixth formers from Redmaids' High frequently visit year 7 pupils at Oasis Academy Brightstowe to help them with reading out loud, focusing on children who struggle in the classroom due to learning or behavioural difficulties. The sixth formers spend time one on one with a child helping them to gain confidence in their reading skills and encouraging them to pronounce new words out loud.

Aims

The aim of the partnership is to help improve the reading ability of students in year 7 at Oasis Academy Brightstowe.
