Oakham School Pupils Raise £750 for Ukrainian Refugees

A team of spirited Oakham School pupils have been fundraising for the Red Cross’ Ukrainian refugees aid with a badge and doughnut sale.

Three of the pupils, two from Ukraine and one from Russia, teamed up for the project as they wanted to show that if they can work together and come up with fundraising solutions then they can be united as communities.

The badge the pupils designed, created and sold features a handshake with each of the two hands being covered in the Ukraine and Russian flags.

The same six pupils also organised the selling of pin badges in Houses and to staff who are now proudly wearing these around School as well as hosting a Krispy Kreme doughnut sale for pupils and staff to enjoy.
