Oak Academy - physics

A Canford physics teacher visits the academy every week to teach A2 physics to six Year 13 students.

Aims

To support a local school in an academic area where it is often difficult to obtain specialist teaching staff.

Resources

The teaching always takes place at the Oak Academy but the Canford teacher may take along some additional resources.

Impact

Oak Academy have seen physics grades improve since being offered help.

Frequency

The teacher visits every Monday afternoon throughout the academic year for about an hour and a half, together with additional visits as exams approach.
