Music and entertainment performances in the community
Led by the Ibstock music department, The Ibstones (a vocal group of 12 pupils), performed concerts for Heathmere Primary School, St Mary’s Care Home (Roehampton), and Lyle House Care Home (Roehampton).
Residents and staff at care homes and school pupils enjoyed live festive music, strengthening community links; Ibstock pupils gained valuable performance experience. All venues invited the group back.
In addition, long-term in-patients patients at Queen Mary’s Hospital enjoyed live music, providing emotional and therapeutic benefits; Ibstock scholars gained valuable performance experience. This is a termly event.
At Christmas, a small group of LVI (Year 12) pupils ran a quiz and raffle as a social event for the QM patients.
