Ibstock Brass Day

Young musicians developed ensemble and performance skills, strengthened links with primary schools, Friary Brass Band, and Wandsworth Music Hub.  The audience enjoyed high-level brass performances. Primary pupils received recognition through a certificate and souvenir t-shirt.

Aims

Strengthening relationships with other primary schools. Providing expertise to younger primary pupils.

Resources

Ibstock provided:

Staff time (workshops and rehearsals), venue (performance and workshop spaces), food (lunch and snacks for pupil participants, refreshments for Friary Band and audience members), free concert tickets, special t-shirt and certificate for primary school participants.

Frequency

Hopefully it will be an annual event.
