Ethical Enterprise - Green Meets Grey 6th Form Day
Working in partnership with Design Thinking, Leighton Park is hosted the Green Meets Grey event for 6th form students from Berkshire Schools.
This is a day of creativity, problem solving and innovation aided by business mentors from a range of industries to challenge existing thinking.
6th form STEM and Arts Students are invited to participate in a design and pitch challenge for the day with an ethical theme of 'Tech for Good.'
Aims
Working with Green Meets Grey is in line with the Leighton Park ethos: Achievement with Character, Values and Community.
We believe empowered young people are change-makers. We are committed to supporting young people with vision and aspiration to be courageous, environmentally-conscious and ethical in their approach.
Green Meets Grey is an event Leighton Park students have attended before with other schools and we are proud to be hosting the conference this year, led by Mark Mason from Design Thinking.
Background
Deputy Head Academic identified the opportunity and need for STEAM students to engage with industry mentors, projects and events.
Resources
School facilities are free to all participants and organisers.
Green Meets Grey provides access to business mentors for schools which will also give a career/wex/networking focus to the event for all those involved on the day.
There will be 36 sixth form students attending the event.
Impact
An evaluation and impact report of the event will be provided by Design Thinking Ltd.
