Crinkle Crankle Concert

Provide a community choir of STAHS, St Helens and Beech Hyde Primary Schools to sing at the newly-formed Wheathampstead Community Concert.

Background

We worked with the parish council to arrange this new event.

Resources

Rosie Shakespeare, from our prep school's music department, visited other schools and trained the children, as well as STAHS girls. Rosie liaised with concert organisers, conducted on the evening and picked the repertoire.

Impact

We hope that children from across Wheathampstead will benefit and the event will generate a community spirit. In addition to this, friendships will be generated.

Pupil Involvement

Girls and boys from Years 4 to 6.

Frequency

This is presently an isolated event, but involved a lot of contact, in terms of rehearsals and communication, beforehand.
