Year 12 visits to local schools
Year 12 students from Loughborough Grammar School visit local schools on Thursday afternoons, helping out with a range of activities.
Aims
To foster community relations, and improve the quality of specialised education for the pupils. Furthermore, to allow Loughborough year 12 students to enhance their interpersonal and teamwork skills, and emphasis the benefits of volunteer work.
Background
The Partnership with some of the schools has been running for over 15 years.
Resources
Each volunteer student is placed with a class, under the supervision and direction of a teacher from the school.
Pupil Involvement
Pupils in the local schools are from a mixture of age groups.
Frequency
This Partnership project runs every year, with a new set of year 12 students.
