Masterclass Partnership

Sacred Heart is one of several schools from Loughborough and the surrounding area invited to send Year 5 pupils to Language 'taster' sessions and Year 6 pupils to Science and Maths 'taster' sessions. These sessions take place on Saturday mornings throughout the academic year and the primary schools select the pupils they send to the Grammar School. These pupils will have an aptitude or interest in the subjects they are to 'taste' during the sessions. 

Pupil Involvement

Pupils from Loughborough Grammar School and Loughborough High School help out with the teaching of the material at the sessions, alongside staff from both schools. Most of these pupils are from Year 12 and 13. The pupils who participate are Year 5 and 6 pupils from local primary schools. The pupils attending are both boys and girls. 

Frequency

There are currently 5 Maths' sessions, 3 Science sessions and 3 Language sessions during the academic year. It is likely to continue for as long as there is an interest.
