Primary pupils for DT

We had an excellent day on Wednesday with over twenty Year Five pupils from Springmead Prep School spending the morning in the Design Centre learning about Computer Aided Design, laser cutting, and vacuum forming. They all made Viking shields to designs that they created by themselves using our 2D CAD software, which were then cut and engraved on the laser cutter. The bosses of the shields were made with plastic that they helped recycle as part of the morning's activities.
