Afterschool club support - Sambourne Primary School

Each week on a Wednesday afternoon a teacher and a group of pupils got to Sambourne school and help run a afterschool club. This club is for pupils that come from a disadvantaged homes. Safeguard training is given to our pupils who support this club, this training is given by Sambourne school.  Our pupils must signup for the year as they are there to build trust and confidence, through play.

Aims

Our aim is to build a lasting partnership with the Sambourne School which is beneficial to both schools and pupils. 

Background

This forms part of our weekly community programme and we plan for this to continue for many years to come. 

 

Resources

This club is run by one of our teachers and is supported by our pupils.

We help with resources when needed and give our time for free 

Pupil Involvement

Pupils are from year 11,12 & 13.

They plan and then action their ideas within the afterschool clubs 

Frequency

Weekly for 1 hour.

This is on going partnerships, which we plan to last for many years
