European day of language study
A language taster day in four different languages.
Aims
To enthuse students to study languages and broaden their horizons.
To eliminate the perception that languages are hard and increase access to languages such as German and Mandarin.
The students will feel less scared about learning languages in secondary education.
Family and friends are the immediate beneficiaries.
Background
The project came about to celebrate languages in the community.
Resources
Critical resources include; teaching staff time, resources such as photocopying and motivational stickers.
Impact
EDL the European Day of Languages - is celebrated every year and very well attended by partner schools. Every year they express their gratitude and send us letters or emails to express how much the children enjoyed it. they come back year after year.

Year 5 students mixed or female attendees.

Once a year in September.
