Digital Leaders: Working with Local Residents to Support their Digital Experience

Students working with the elderly to enhance their ability to use digital media.

Aims

The aim is to allow students to work with local residents and share their skills in digital media. This provides an opportunity for our students to share their skills in digital media and thus develop their communication skills and confidence, benefitting the residents of Morden College and our own students.

Background

The project came about because Mrs Argile approached Morden College and set up a meeting with the IT manager there. The partnership was then established in September 2017.

Resources

The students have iPads, provided by the school and two teachers accompany them every fortnight.

Pupil Involvement

The students are all girls and in Year 8-10.
