Assistance with transport

In order to help the St Paul's Church of England Primary School Football team to participate in a football competition, Bury Grammar School offered to transport pupils from school to Bury Grammar.  St Paul's accepted offer and this enabled squad of 10 year 6 to participate.

Aims

To assist pupils from local primary school to be able to participate in sporting competition.

Background

A worker at BGSB after school club is a teaching assistant at St Paul's. Through discussion the worker was asked if BGSB could assist in transporting pupils to fixture.

This conversation came to SLT attention and it was agreed to assist wherever possible in future.

Resources

BGS minbus and 1 member of staff to drive. This is a teaching member of staff.

Impact

Qualitative outcome of the activity is that 10 pupils were able to participate in sports fixture.

Pupils were in Year 6.

Frequency

Single event. But now that a contact has been established this is leading to further conversations about working together.
