Assistance with Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme

A member of BGS staff will be assessor for Duke of Edinburgh's (DofE) expedition in the academic year 2017/18.  Pupils will benefit from having an assessor, keeping costs as low as possible, and BGS will benefit from seeing alternate practice.

Aims

To enable pupils to complete the expedition section of their DofE award.

Background

Member of staff at HHS contacted member of BGS staff about the possibility of assessing for them.  BGS staff accepted.

Emerging project in first year.

Resources

Teaching staff time. BGS will release member of teaching staff  for two days to assess expeditions.

Impact

Impact will be measured, after the expeditions have been assessed.

Year 10-12.

Annually.
