Assistance with Fundraising Dinner

This project was to assist the local church in setting up for their annual fundraising dinner to support their 'Spear' programme. Pupils cleared, set up and dressed the church and acted as hosts at the reception before the dinner.

Aims

To assist members of the church in transforming the church for their annual fundraising dinner for the 'Spear' programme and to act as hosts at the reception before the dinner.

Background

The school was approached by the church for assistance with this project.

Resources

Twelve pupils from year 12 volunteered to clear the church and set up for the dinner over a two day period. They then acted as hosts at the reception prior to the event.

Impact

This project helped establish a good working relationship with the church that is closest to the school. The church has strong links with the community and assistance from the school helps introduce the pupils to the good work that is being carried out.

This was a single event although Emanuel will wish to continue.
