Volunteering at Drayton Green Primary School

A group of seven Sixth Form students attend Drayton Green Primary School on a weekly basis to read with students aged between 5 and 11 who need support with developing their reading and literacy skills. The girls receive an induction and training at the beginning of the programme and normally commit for the whole academic year. They thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to give back to their local community and develop many transferable skills. Feedback from the pupils and staff has been very positive; "Just a quick email to feedback how much the children love working with your students and how appreciative the teachers are for their help".
