Village Schools' Football Festival

Beechwood Park hosted Flamstead and Markyate Village Schools to a football festival involving football skills, Sports Hall games, refreshments and a chance to mix with other pupils.

Aims

To involve local schools in joint sporting activities in order to improve skills and foster relationships.

Background

Beechwood Park Head was a Governor at Markyate Village School. Local contacts for Flamstead Village School.

Resources

All necessary resources (human and physical) provided by Beechwood Park.

No financial contribution from visiting schools.

Impact

Relationships with local schools further developed and likely to lead to greater interaction.

Frequency

Planned as an annual event but interrupted by Covid pandemic.
