Science Co-operation

Beechwood's Head of Science visited Markyate Village School to teach a fun practical science lesson to their Year 6, to lend some equipment to use in lessons and to meet their Science coordinator.

Aims

For the children to have a fun and hands on science experience, utilising equipment that wasn't ordinarily available to them.

Background

This is an ongoing partnership between the two schools.

Resources

Beechwood provided a teacher and all necessary equipment required for the lesson.

Impact

Year 6 children at Markyate Village School benefited from a new lesson with a different teacher.

The heads of department at both schools have formed a partnership to discuss teaching science.
