STEM Projects

In the junior school, STEM activities are held regularly.  Local state schools are invited to take part in workshops and other events.

In the senior school, local state schools are invited to take part in career based information days and activities focusing on women and mainly STEM subjects. 

Each year a group of year 12 students participate in a national scheme (Engineering Education Scheme).  We are partnered with Photek, an engineering company in St. Leonards.  They set an engineering task that the students must complete within the given time period.

Aims

The aim of the projects are to promote STEM subjects to girls (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths).

Resources

Use of school facilities and staff. 

Impact

Measurable against girls who take STEM subjects at university.

Reception to Upper sixth.

Frequency

Events take place throughout the academic year.
