SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2020
SCHOLARSHIPS:
Junior Academic and Music Scholarships are available in the Junior School from Year 3 to the end of Year 6.
Academic, Music, Art, Sport and Drama Scholarships, up to a maximum of 40% fees, are awarded at ages 11+, 13+ and 16+ (Sixth Form). Technology Scholarships are available at 16+ (Sixth Form).
We look for an excellent academic standard based on written examinations and/or practical assessment, and an interview.
A Scholarship can be worth anything between 5% to 40% of fees for the duration of a pupil’s time at Burgess Hill Girls. A 40% scholarship would only be awarded for outstanding
performance.
All Scholars are expected to act as ambassadors for their subject and give their full support to the relevant curricular and extra-curricular areas.
ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS
All candidates are assessed using their Cognitive Abilities Test scores. Year 9 internal candidates will be required to sit the English and Maths papers in order to be considered for an Academic Scholarship.
Academic Scholarship candidates may also enter for one or more of the Creative Scholarships.
