Music and Drama

Many music concerts and drama productions are performed throughout the year. Other schools are invited to audition to perform in them or watch the performances. 

Aims

To share facilities and specialist teaching. To inspire and foster a love of music and drama.

Background

Over many years schools have been invited to watch dress rehearsals and matinee performances.

Resources

Facilities, teaching and non teaching staff. No financial contribution is asked for.

Impact

Some pupils from other schools who have performed in drama productions have moved on to study drama at university and pursue a career in this area.

The confidence of pupils is developed and nurtured through performance.

Pupil Involvement

Years 9-upper 6th form to perform in the productions.

Years 5-upper 6th to watch the performances.

Frequency

This has been a regular event on a yearly- or twice-yearly basis.
