Quality Outcomes Partnership

A partnership between an inner city Maintained school and Independent market town school to share best practice and raise standards and academic attainment across sectors.

Aims

To ensure quality learning outcomes for all children with a focus upon Early Years Foundation Stage.

To develop a new developing learning environment to enhance and support exceptional learning outcomes through the continuous provision.

To use Prestfelde School's Early Years Foundation Stage pedagogy and practise as a model.

To be a point of advice and support for practitioners developing a new school.

Background

Both schools have links to The Woodard Foundation and through this network, Prestfelde School was asked to support the vision and development of a new school within the heart of Birmingham.

This project lasted for at least three years from 2015- today. Initially the support was termly, but currently the links are there an Prestfelde can be accessed for support as and when needed.

Our Prestfelde Head now sits of the board of governors at King Soloman.

Resources

Prestfelde School facilities were used as a model of best practice. With an understanding that the enviornments were very different and therefore could not be replicated. The focus was about impact of expectations and processes to drive improvement.

Prestfelde's Early Years Foundation Stage lead visited King Soloman's School termly for 1 day at a time to observe, recommend and support CPD and implement changes which would impact upon attainment.

This service was given freely and funded by Prestfelde School.

Impact

The new school was inspected by the Department of Education upon opening and the Early Years Foundation Stage provision was deemed as Good.

The support and partnership with Prestfelde School and the developments were commented upon within report as a positive influence.
