Primary School Volunteering

Each weekly, sixth form students attend two local primary schools to organise and lead activities. They also undertake various activities such as renovating the memorial garden in the school grounds.

Aims

Our aims are to provide support with creative activities as well as undertake specific tasks which maintain or improve the school site, in this case gardening and the renovation of a memorial garden.

Background

We have a long-standing partnership with these schools, in which our students volunteer their time, and primary school pupils visit our site to participate in various activities. We greatly value this relationship

Pupil Involvement

Our Sixth Form students work with pupils from Years 3 - 6.

Frequency

Our community volunteering is an integral component of our Sixth Form Life Skills programme.
