Prep Students visit Care Homes at Christmas
Every December the Prep School pupils in Years 5 and 6 visit local care homes to spread some Christmas cheer.
The staff organising the performance, finds out names of the residents and the girls are 'allocated' one resident each; they then make them a Christmas card and write a kind message and they deliver these to residents when they visit.
Aims
The aim of this long-standing tradition is to give the girls confidence to perform in public, whilst teaching them about care and kindness for others especially at Christmas.
The local Care Homes are often on the look out for visitors and activities to brighten the lives of their residents and as good neighbours, the Prep School students are happy to help.
