High Sheriff's Annual Debating Competition
An annual Sixth Form Public Speaking competition started in 2016, the topic of which is set by the High Sheriff of Leicestershire.

Closer links between state and independent school, particularly in the 6th form.

The initiative was started by the High Sheriff of Leicestershire.
Impact
Closer links will bring about many opportunities for collaboration, not least the interviewing of Upper Sixth students to help them prepare for University interviews.
Pupil Involvement
Two small teams take part in the competition, for which senior students in both schools form the audience.
Frequency
It will continue as an annual event.
