Design & Technology with local schools

In the Summer term of 2006, the Design Technology Department invited local primary schools to undertake a CAD/CAM experience at Dauntsey's. Every year since, Year 6 students visit the DT department to undertake a design and make experience using Computer Aided Design software, and then manufacture their designs using our laser cutting machines. We usually host ten primary schools and since its inception have hosted more than 2200 students. Each student takes away an individually designed, fully functioning project.

The numbers vary year by year but are usually between 200 and 250 students.
