Denefield - Pangbourne CCF Partnership

Since 2013, Pangbourne College has worked with Denefield School to provide a fully integrated CCF opportunity for Denefield students and staff. 

Aims

To support Denefield School with the provision of facilities, field days and instruction so that Denefield students have the opportunity to fully participate in CCF.

Background

The Pangbourne - Denefield CCF Partnership was initiated by Pangbourne College in 2013 and has been running continuously since then.

Resources

Denefield School students and staff are fully integrated into Pangbourne’s CCF provision. They can choose Army, Navy or Marine sections and participate in weekly training at Pangbourne College plus all field days and external field trips. 

Pangbourne staff, both teaching and operational, carry out the majority of the instruction, and all of Pangbourne’s CCF facilities and equipment are used by Denefield students. 

Pupil Involvement

Ages of pupils are 14-18.  

In the 2019-20 academic year, nine pupils and two staff from Denefield are participating, and previous years have seen up to 15 students from Denefield participate. 

Frequency

The programme has been running weekly since 2013, and is ongoing for the future.
