Impact Statement
This year, Queen's College joined the Southwark Schools’ Learning Partnership (SSLP), a collaboration between local schools based in, and around, the London Borough of Southwark. Queen’s is the sixteenth school, and fourth Independent, to join. We are an Affiliate Member simply because of our location, north rather than south of the river, and have all the benefits of full membership. Both Queen's College London and Queen's College Preparatory School offer means-tested bursaries to support children who have the potential for a Queen’s education, but whose parents would not be able to afford the fees either wholly or in part without unacceptable hardship. The amount of support varies depending on circumstances, from 10% of fees up to 100%. There is also a small Hardship Fund, used to help fund items not covered by 100% Bursaries.
QCL (but not QCPS) also offers scholarships to pupils who have shown particular academic aptitude or talent, including in Art Music and the Sciences. The percentage of fee remission is much lower than for a bursary - generally a maximum of half a term's fees, and usually much less.
