Year 3 Fun Afternoon of Football

Glendower Preparatory School ran an afternoon of football fun for Glendower girls in year 3 and invited local state primary school girls in year 3 to attend this workshop. The afternoon was aimed at introducing the girls to football and providing them with basic skills and understanding of the game. The activity included the rotation of small group training sessions developing specific skills and concluded with friendly matches and prize giving.

The Glendower sports staff were supported by 5 senior school students from MPW School Kensington who volunteered to help run the activities.

Aims

To introduce football to girls in the local area and provide them with an insight into football as a sport they may wish to pursue.

Frequency

We aim to run this event annually and increase the number of local state primary school girls involved.
