GlenPark Club: Glendower Year 6 and local Afghan students
GlenPark Club ran weekly, as part of the Glendower Year 6, Post 11+ Programme. It was a joint club between Glendower Preparatory School and Park Walk Primary School, a local state school that accommodated 31 Afghan children whose families arrived Autumn 2021 as evacuees and were being housed in our local community.
The club provided children from both schools with a wonderful opportunity to engage with each other and gain real insight into the similarities and differences of their lives.
GlenPark Club took place at Park Walk Primary, every Thursday from 3.00pm-3.45pm and ran throughout the spring and summer terms.
Activities included football, sports and games, music, dance and drama, IT & coding, Art and science.
